The advisories, and patches published with the bulletins, range from an "important" flaw affecting only Microsoft Windows NT Server to a collection of eight security holes, including three rated "critical," that leave Internet Explorer open to attack. Microsoft's highest severity rating for software flaws is its "critical" ranking, while "important" is considered slightly less severe.We're going to need you again!
homiebrah Posted October 13, 2004 Posted October 13, 2004 Why? Download the hotfix, check the switches, and place them in the right folder. Create the CD and run it VMWare/VirtualPC.For XP SP1, remove the previous IE Cum update and replace it with the new one. For SP2, it's a no-brainer.
BeenThereB4 Posted October 13, 2004 Author Posted October 13, 2004 Uhhhh, my point was: It's no longer sufficient to just have a SP2 slipstreamed CD. We're going to have to start adding security-critical hotfixes again. GreenMachine is back in business.
