webservices Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 hi, i try to remove the Find command Start Menu by appllying this tweak :HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer"NoFind"=dword:00000001it works, but it desactivates at the same time the find functionnality in windows. Is there a way to hide the Find Menu in the start menu without disabling the find comand in windows ?Thanks for your advices.Weebs,
bucketbuster Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 You could try hacking explorer.exe using resource hacker.I believe the "find" part is in the menu-section.
webservices Posted October 2, 2004 Author Posted October 2, 2004 Maybe, but if i can avoid changing the explorer.exe, i woudd feel better In many soft they propose to hide the Find Command in the start menu, but all act the same and disable the commande in explorer too, or even a right click on My Computer. It sounds crazy.
