Wor Posted October 22, 2001 Author Posted October 22, 2001 Yes i was asking you and everybody else who knew about it. I mean if i have to update bios? Are there any thing that can go wrong when i updates the bios? Can i update it whith out there happens something to my pc and the os and stuff i have on my pc now?
XPerties Posted October 23, 2001 Posted October 23, 2001 Well my BIGGEST suggestion is read up on your board and go to that website I suggested. Flashing your bios can be fatal if you mess up. You could ruin your MB if not done right. Aagain go the website and see what updates are out there. Ask around on the forums.-Chris
Wor Posted October 23, 2001 Author Posted October 23, 2001 I have downloadet it and any thing, and i can follow the instructios correct, so are there any possibility, it can go wrong ?
Rick Posted October 23, 2001 Posted October 23, 2001 If you have made positively sure that you got the right bios flash update for the right motherboard and if you follow the directions exactly as they are given, you won't hurt your computer. I have done many bios flashes with many motherboards and I have never destroyed one. Just make sure you look at your motherboard book or at your computer manufacturers site to know for sure what model number your mobo is.Rick
Wor Posted October 23, 2001 Author Posted October 23, 2001 Ok, that sounds great! Then there should be no problems !
Zechnubis Posted October 30, 2001 Posted October 30, 2001 Ive got an asus geforce 2, and i can tell you, the nvidia drivers are far better than xps builtinfurthermore: go ahead, update your bios. if it breaks you can always return the board and say its faulty /Zech
