done that, does not work :( from the other computer i can access the files on this one but no internet available there :(

with shared folders everything it's ok

Maybe you need to reconfigure ICS settings..

If you can see the shared folders it has to be firewall or ICS settings..

I have the same problem when I use Sygate Personal Firewall installed on my internet connected PC. The other PC can acces my shared folders, but can't browse the internet.

If this is the case use another firewall.

guys i really need your help with this. i've tryed to configure manually with ips 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2 for the client machine, subnet mask 255.255.255.0 and predefined gateway on the client pc 192.168.0.1. when i do this sometime i have internet sometimes i do not. i don't know what else to do and i cannot format the other pc :(

so please if someone of you understand alot of network connections please private me, maybe we can talk over msn messenger and solve the problem.

Tks for all kinds of reply to this message.

I had the same problem and I fixed it.

You can do this by entering DNS addresses of your ISP on the PC which can't use the Internet, in this case (192.168.0.2)

Other solution would be to run a "setup a home or small office network connection" option in network connections on both PC-s..

This setup will set IP configuration on both PC-s and one with the ICS will act as mini-DHCP.

Please write reply if this helps...

ninnox,

Tthe dns solution works perfectly. i don't know how to thank you for it.

The second solution you describe it's not working for me, not even the shared folders are available, it gives a random ip that makes no sense and a diferent subnet mask also. Before sp2 it was how i do it, but now it simple doesn't work.

But it's fine now, i've set it up manually (like it even better :) ) with the ips i've mentioned before.

Tks alot to everyone for replys, and tks ninnox for solving my problem.

You're welcome shaokahn ;)

I have two PC-s at home also but I installed SP2 on just one..

The ICS is working perfectly on the second PC without SP2..

I'm currently installing SP2 on that PC and I'll try to figure out why second solution is not working..

Cheers!
