svcpack.inf and SP2

Featured Replies

It does. You will probably want to repack the dotnetfx.exe file so it is "more" silent. Do a search on the forums about how to do this. If you aren't integrating the SP1 of the framework, then look up greenmachine's iexpress tutorial.

i've integrated sp1 in framework.... my file is netfxsp1.exe

now in I386 folder (WIN XP SP2) i've expanded svcpack.in_

[Version]Signature="$Windows NT$"

[setupData]

CatalogSubDir="i386\hotfixes"

[ProductCatalogsToInstall]

[setupHotfixesToRun]

for installing netfxsp1.exe i must create a i386\hotfixes folder and put netfxsp1.exe into this and modify svcpack.inf like this?

[Version]Signature="$Windows NT$"

[setupData]

CatalogSubDir="i386\hotfixes"

[ProductCatalogsToInstall]

[setupHotfixesToRun]

netfxsp1.exe

is it right?

more is required under version

[Version]
Signature="$Windows NT$"
MajorVersion=5
MinorVersion=1
BuildNumber=2600
