j4ever Posted September 11, 2004 Posted September 11, 2004 Is installing the 4.9 dirvers unattended the same as the way we used for the 4.8 drivers?
j4ever Posted September 11, 2004 Author Posted September 11, 2004 yay...i have nothing to worry about.....my laptop will be in tommorrow!...YAY!
CodeDead Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 And are we doing the 4.8 drivers the same as the 4.7?Just injecting a little humor here.....because I actually screwed up on the 4.8's at first. Duh!
scorpy Posted September 12, 2004 Posted September 12, 2004 Can someone link me to the way to install these? I did a search for 4.8 and 4.9 and didn't come across anything of value. I want SmartGart and Control Panel installed along with the driver. I do intend on having the forceware and Ati on the CD, so installing it all by default is a no-no. Can someone sticky that thread, so all ATI owners can find it easily? This is probably the hardest thing to slipstream! We could use a nice updated guide.
j4ever Posted September 12, 2004 Author Posted September 12, 2004 im done with my unattended business...until mce2005 or xp64, but unattended drivers didnt work for me from winnt.sif or runonceex. i just ended up installing them the normal way. anyways....the 4.9 drivers rock and so does my Aviator AX7!!!!!!!
scorpy Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 How did you go about sliptreaming them? I am trying to find the guide they used for it, but not having any luck. Will a generous soul give me a link, so I can be like all the cool kids and have ATI slipstream?

sdageforde Posted September 13, 2004 Posted September 13, 2004 Ok, just so I get this right.I am doing an UA install disk for an older Dell Dimension 8100 with an upgraded video card (Radeon 9700 Pro) so don't need to have SmartGART loaded. As I understand it then all I need to do with the ATI drivers is have the directory "XPCD\$OEM$\$1\Drivers\ATI\2KXP_INF" and the appropriate directory reference in the OemPnPDriversPath. Am I okay so far? After that the Control Panel is as decsribed in previous posts. Again, good to go?Actually the only left from the factory is the sound card. A Turtle Beach Santa Cruz, and I think I have that one solve. You guys are great in these forums.Thanks.....
