tiredoflogins Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 How do you edit the boot options that you see when your machine boots up? I am seeing two entries like thisWindows 98Microsoft Windows XP HomeEditionWindows 98Microsoft Windows XP HomeEditionI tried editing the boot.ini file, but that has not worked.
Astalavista Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 [boot loader]timeout=30default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS[operating systems]multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetectput this into your boot.ini file
N1K Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 You can access boot.ini file through my computer properties --> advanced --> startup and recovery settings...I agree with astalavista..
