big_gie Posted September 5, 2004 Share Posted September 5, 2004 UXTHEME.DL_ is not the bootup screen. Changing this file allow you to have a non-microsoft theme! You can find many on the web.Also, you won't see any difference after changing this file. It just allows you to do something: it doesn't change any look and feel.If you want to change the boot screen, the screen where it says "Windos XP" with a green (home) or blue (pro) bar scrolling from left to right, you'll need a custom kernel.
