GLO Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 I vaguely remember that some how you can run software built for earlier versions of Windows on XP? Where and how do i do this? Thanks
prathapml Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 Right click on the executable, or on its shortcut and get the file properties. You will see a "Compatibility" tab. There, use the "Run in compatibility mode for" drop-down box to run it in compatibility with the OS of your choice.
GLO Posted August 30, 2004 Author Posted August 30, 2004 thanks,Would that be the only method to use? Im just thinking "What happens if the software wont even let you load, or install?"Is there any other ways around it? Just in case! Thanks
prathapml Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 Then run the installer in compatibility mode - simple.
nolookingca Posted August 30, 2004 Posted August 30, 2004 is there a more "pemanent" solution for cd's and stuff or will that setting be "lasting"?
