can i just change my bliss.jp_??? without an error occuring?

i hv my own picture that i want as my background

i hv windows xp service pack2 for my unattended installer.

I read once that it can be done.

Make sure that you makecab your own picture.

makecab yourpicture.jpg bliss.jp_

or something like that.

Try it in VirtualPC or VMWare to see if it works.

The default wallpaper can be set to what you want, check out this thread:

set wallpaper unattended

Yes it does work. If you do some searching in this forum you can see other people's resutls.

Don't do what I did and just delete the file. It kinda makes Windows mad.

made a mistake with the logonui.exe and it crapped out my system.

bec. the old method does not work for sp2.

In fact, the technique is the same for win2k/XP/2k3, no matter what service pack level is employed.

An easy way to compress and create your *.??_ files is simply use this great little tool... Compression Bin

i think the easiest way of them all is to use "makecab"

the method u mentioned is over complicated.

the method i am describing is very simple i just simply replace the

bliss.jg_ with my own, just renaming my own background.jpg to

bliss.jpg and replacing it in I386
