jroc
Did you check your Manual...and check the bio' settings...im sure if you checked the manual..when you disconnected the front panel...you need to now connect the rear panel.
dewitn
i've checked the bios settings and everuthing is in order.I must say its sound on board , is it possible i need to set some jumpers on the motherboards ???
jroc
well I have a ASUS A7V333 with onboard sound...and the only jumpers needed is either to enable or disable onboard sound....if your front panel worked..then it has to be the fact that your rear jacks are not connected right on the MB.....also I have the C-Media Chipset....and everything is done with the Software and the icon in the task bar....setting 6channel...so you might check you Onboard Sound Software.
