how can i make my own os ?

hy,

ok its a long time ago but now im back.

i will make my own operation system (ok i know i cant say its my own) based on windows pe. what i mean is not devloping an system, i will use windows pe and write programs for it like my own gui. i think the windows pe has no winxp gui right ?

in a little form: i will make something like barts pe but how ?

he is extract something from the windows xp cd etc.

my idea:

copy the needed winxp files to a cd. then burn the cd with the winxp boot image.

will it run or not ?

or have someone ideas how can i make a cd like bart pe ?

what i will is which files etc. must i copy from the winxp installation to a cd with the xp bootloader to run it from the cd ?

Wy dont you use PEBuilder directly you can change the shell add drivers add plugins as much as you want. building a software like PEBuilder demand lots of programming knowledge and lots of time to spare and determination Bart really is one of a kind to have put that project up working that good but if you still want to build yours well i'm not good enough at programming to even tell you where to start but i cant tell you Good luck !!!!
