Bruners Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 Im trying to change my notepad with notepad2, it works with x:\windows\system32but the notepad-file in x:\windows\ changes back to the orginal notepad 2 secs after i have copied notepad2 in there..Anyone having a solution for my problem?
aknott Posted August 14, 2004 Posted August 14, 2004 Hiyou can't do that because of SFCyou have to put your notepad2.exe in the dllcache folder as notepad.exefirstand then you put it in the windows and system32 folder1 in windows/system32/dllcache2 in windows/system323 in windowsignore the question about the windows cdromserach for notepad.exe you'll find it 3 times (maybe 4 if you have sp1 not slipstreamed ( in a i386 folder) but i don't remember where it isit that you have to change this one first
