the-sloth Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 they said to check back here (http://service.symantec.com/xpinfo) august 10th for a patch.. no patch and its august 10th.... symantec knew what was coming for a long time now.. why didn't they have a patch out when SP2 was released... or is there one and im just overlooking it.
nolookingca Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 here's the corp edition patch http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/enterpris..._9.0/files.html It's official, guess they just forgot to update the doc or somethingIf your have corp ed v8: http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/enterpris...8_ce/files.html
the-sloth Posted August 10, 2004 Author Posted August 10, 2004 im not running corp edition..... wouldn't there be a different patch for NAV 2004?
the-sloth Posted August 10, 2004 Author Posted August 10, 2004 also... my engine version is v10.0.1.13so i doubt those patches would help me.
argon007 Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 That means Symantec want to make sure about the compatibility of Symantec Products with Security Center, because the problem is not solved. I think...= =""
the-sloth Posted August 10, 2004 Author Posted August 10, 2004 security center has been a part of SP2 from the start.... they (symantec) should have seen this day coming long long ago.
nolookingca Posted August 10, 2004 Posted August 10, 2004 can't you just turn off the security center popup before it's released? the only problem that patchless NAV have is that security center don't detect it.P.S. Strange how FREEWARE anti-virus is compatible with security center long ago

Strange how FREEWARE anti-virus is compatible with security center long agoyup.. and i think its screwing with the windows firewall too. i enable it... then after a restart when NAV loads.. it disables it and windows starts complaining about it. i could be wrong and something else might be at fault.. but right now NAV is looking like the cause.
