funnyguy
I've modified my own XPCTHLST.TXT for XPP and I got XPCREATE to use that. My problem is that KB839643 still isn't installed after install. Every other hotfix is, and I'd like to get it to 0 criticals. Ths problem seems to be that it uses a '/integrate' flag to specify where to install. How can I give just this update special flags? Here are the lines I added to get the latest updates:ADD SVC-HF1\WindowsXP-KB839643-x86-ENU.EXE http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/e...643-x86-ENU.EXE CEE3A17B6CC428F27D48DF7756AB35D0ADD SVC-HF1\WindowsXP-KB839645-x86-enu.EXE http://download.microsoft.com/download/d/0...645-x86-enu.exe C0B06AEA72561E053E07A363992E9E6BADD SVC-HF1\WindowsXP-KB840315-x86-enu.EXE http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/9...315-x86-enu.exe 2BE4B2D04C0DA7DF5F7A71E925E5125AADD SVC-HF1\WindowsXP-KB841873-x86-enu.EXE http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/f...873-x86-enu.exe 1FD19B07E7A9D977BD7BA517EB3E8CE8ADD SVC-HF1\WindowsXP-KB842773-x86-enu.exe http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/5...773-x86-enu.exe 29296C8C75DA9970CD006560EDE6EC04ADD SVC-POS\IE6.0sp1-KB823353-x86-ENU.exe http://download.microsoft.com/download/1/1...353-x86-ENU.exe C026BAE02777160184018E162E5EE60EADD SVC-POS\IE6.0sp1-KB867801-x86-ENU.exe http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/8...801-x86-ENU.exe DBD52D24135661FC9EAA090BC8C2E855ADD SVC-POS\Windows-KB870669-x86-ENU.EXE http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/5...669-x86-ENU.EXE 23F365B842C979674D02057D79FFF29C
GreenMachine
As I recall, I never got this one to work cleanly from SVCPACK.INF. There have been some workarounds, from ToBe as I recall. The problem is basically that part of the DX install completes upon reboot, and wipes out the update. However, DX9C renders the update obsolete. XPCREATE, when updated, will be using DX9C.As for the "/integrate" switch, most, if not all, of these newer updates are backwards compatable with the old, single letter switches that XPCREATE still uses. I also prefer to manually integrate, as opposed to the built in "integrate" option, as it gives me better control over the integration process.Welcome, funnyguy, to MSFN!
