Woomera Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 hi , i installed my windows about 1 month ago but i didnt need any security permissions till today that i wanted to join my pc to my domain but i noticed that the security tab in the file, folders properties are gone i never had this problem.anyone knows how can i enable the security tab on windows xp?
prathapml Posted August 7, 2004 Posted August 7, 2004 Open Windows Explorer (just view My Computer, or something).Tools >> Folder Options >> View >> (uncheck) Use simple file-sharing
ravashaak Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 Additionally, if you want to perform this via the registry (nice for your unattended installs ), the registry key is as follows: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa]"forceguest"=dword:00000000 - Ravashaak
prathapml Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 I believe the title of this topic is "Security tab lost?".I had to control my funny-bone for some time after seeing "which bottom was lost?" Maybe it was meant to be "Security Button" but ended up being "Bottom".
