Diagnose hardware, file errors

Is there any program which can:

1a. check files/folders in the drive, to see if there is any error (eg reading error, opening error etc.)

1b. correct/fix the above errors (if possible)

2. check the hardware, including CPU, RAM, HDD, CD/DVD drive etc.
