LOL......

This incident proves that you have to understand what you are doing.

I guess you just blindly copy/pasted all the commands found on the unattended guide.

If you see in your main.cmd, you might have a line which starts with

shutdown -r -f -t 60 -c "blah-blah blah"

If you don't want that re-start, you have to remove this line.

You probably used a cleanup.cmd file that you found here in which one of the commands is shutdown.exe -r -f -t 60 -c or something similar. It's supposed to do that. :)

well, that command *IS* for the installation reboot. I hope you didn't think that your OS installation could possibly reboot without <GASP> windows itself re-booting.

:) Or you slipstreamed MsBlast or Sasser worms onto your CD.

Search through your install files for the word "shutdown" and remove it if you'd like. You can also go to the command prompt and type "shutdown /?" to figure out the switches.

As a matter of fact, I'd like to know if it is possible to manually 'catch' and 'release' such worms intentionally on a system. If so, how?

Please see this thread, if you have an answer.

From where can I get (and keep for later manual use) such worms,

(:D and how to 'slip-stream' them onto my CD, ROTFLOL).

There's some humour going on here (in first post by topic starter) - did someone notice the word in emphasis?

hi i m newbie to.....<snip>........  and on the first lunch of windows.....

Well, I concur with his typo, alright!

Windows does seem to go out to 'lunch' pretty often :)
