how to do drivers for setup to see my USB Drive?

Featured Replies

I don't need my pin drive bootable, only to be able to use it at text setup time if it can be done.

nope

there is not enough BIOS support for USB for that yet.

You either boot from it or

you use a DOS disk with USB drivers or

you use WinPE

None os which will get you in at textmode

hmm.. it might actually be posible.. my external firewaire hd is seen in text mode setup.. it i will even let me try to install to it.. maybe thats too different though.. i am not a fan of usb storage.

I have an external 80GB USB 2.0 harddrive and it is seen by text mode setup. My 256MB stick is not seen. Maybe text mode setup only shows drives big enough to install windows on.
