Tachikoma Posted July 20, 2004 Author Posted July 20, 2004 Unfortunately that will only disable or enable the the settings for it. When AutoUpdate=off in winnt.sif it actually isn't installed.I need to install the component again.

urgan Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 make a text file beggining with [components] and AutoUpdate=On in second line.run sysocmgr /i:%systemroot%\inf\sysoc.inf /u:%systemroot%\ocremove.txtorfind sysoc.inf, remove hide on autoupdate line, run optional components wizzard and reinstall
Alanoll Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 I like to remove hide from all entries in sysoc.inf myself. As long as your odn't remove critical components in the Windows Components wizard it does no harm. Just replace ,hide, with ,,
Tachikoma Posted July 20, 2004 Author Posted July 20, 2004 Thanks for the info people!Worked a treat.Cheers
