Glowy Posted July 19, 2004 Posted July 19, 2004 Look at my site for placement of hotfixes. they all work!Link RemovedLink Removed by Alanoll; Glowy you violated the EULA of XPCREATE. No distributing it or it's files. If they need to know where the files go, they could easily check GM's website
Glowy Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 Whoopsy sorry taking the site down as soon as I get home.. GM informed me of this earlier.
visaversa Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 @GEnto,I did create a spanish hotfixlist. Just use XPCreate to download your hotfixes. XPCreate will see what version you use and point you to the right list.
I put hotfixes in that directory and after to install windowsxp, those hotfixes are not integrated and one try to download somethingt and gives error in the downloading and this slows down the installation.
I put hotfixes in that directory and after to install windowsxp, those hotfixes are not integrated and one try to download somethingt and gives error in the downloading and this slows down the installation.only what i know is there are TWO different files with the same name KB839643. it is hard to believe but the one is for Dx8 and the other is for Dx9. make sure you have right file by reading "only Dx9" and not "only for Dx8" at the downloadcenter.....
Mis excusas para mi-español escrito malo sólo empecé una nueva vida aquí en España y todavía aprenderlo.and for the rest of us@GEnto,I am going to look up what the problem could be, my list is not the latest version and does not contain the latest fixes.I will do that tomorrow when I have some spare time. Its true that if you have installed DX9 or for that matter DX8 or even not have updated WMP to the latest version some fixes are not needed or obsolete. My excuses for my poor written Spanish…I just started a new life here in Spain and still learning.VV
GEnto Posted July 20, 2004 Author Posted July 20, 2004 No problem, my english is a little bad. I think that the problem are wrong HOTFIX, the hotfix says to me that it cannot continue with the instalation.
GreenMachine Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Thanks, Glowy, for pulling the link down. Thanks, visaversa, for your help with the list. I hope to get the lists all straightened out soon, but it may not be to very soon. Till then, I hope posts like these will help everyone figure out what goes where.
