Why run Office in a server?

Just run it on your workstation.

We have needed it in the past for Backup Exec (it has an e-mail function), that and one of my bosses is a bit....lazy...

yes it's fine to install office 2003 on your 2003 server. i do it all the time for clients using MSTSC. just make sure you use the add/remove programs function to install.

I have installed my Office 2003 Pro on this 2003 Server using the CD exe like I did in XP and everything works just fine.
