urie Posted July 9, 2004 Posted July 9, 2004 Hi ,I have a problem with my LAN , ( wireless) On the server is a belkin router , and then 2 laptops one 54g one 11. . ( both belkin) so at anytime I can access these two machines from the server. But I cannot access the server from any of these 2 lappy's. Unless the laptop is booted up 1 st and then the server, that gives me access to both server and the other laptop. My broadband conection doesn't have this problem ( luckily enough) All machines , no matter which order there booted up in, can share the broadband connection. This is slowly drivin me nutz , and any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated .Thanx David
spud Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 what operating system's are you running??please post more details to help narrow down the problem.
sven Posted July 12, 2004 Posted July 12, 2004 does it connect to your server using internal ip addresses? cuz that might be why they can booting a certain way..... if not, then is sharing on on your server?
urie Posted July 23, 2004 Author Posted July 23, 2004 I'm running XPpro , with sp1 on the sever , and the 2 laptops are the same. I'm not using internal i.p. 's . sharing is on all all drives and I'm using an admin accout on all machines ( logging in on diferent names) . The 2 laptops are running Norton AV pro 2004 and the server is running and Mcafee AV pro , firewall and privacy . Sorry about the slow reply
