rstryker Posted July 9, 2002 Posted July 9, 2002 Win XP and 2000 allows you to mount hard drives as folders in a pre-existing hard drive by using the Computer Management applet in the Admin. Tools Control Panel. This will let you seemlessly move all your apps or games onto a new drive without having to reinstall them.Take the directory you want to move to the new drive and copy every file and folder in it to the new NTFS formated drive. After you are sure they have copied, delete them from the original drive. Now, go to the Control Panel, open Administrative Tools, and fire up the Computer Management applet. Open Disk Management and right click your new disk. Select the "Change Drive Letter and Paths" option and press Add. Select "Mount in the following empty NTFS folder," and point it to the newly empty folder on your original drive.
