Windows XP installs great.

After installation I would like it to automatically add 4 applics. I receive the error "c:\install\start.cmd" not found {or soemthing like that.. im not at that machine at the moment}

I have honestly researched this but to no avail...

please help !!! I am soo close.

any suggestions. ( i know that the files are not being copied to the harddrive but have not been able to fix this}

if you have your $OEM$ folder in your I386 folder and have specified OEMPreinstall=Yes then your $OEM$ files will be copied to the hard drive...

if you have your $OEM$ folder in your CD-Root and haev specified OEMPreinstall=Yes then your $OEM$ files will be copied to the hard drive also... (this only works for XP Home/Pro I believe.. if it is 64bit or .NET server you have to also specify OEMFilesPath="..\$OEM$" please correct me if i am wrong)

you should put your files in $OEM$\$1\install

then you can run %systemdrive%\install\start.cmd

sounds like your $OEM$ directories are messed up, or its in your winnt.sif file

one question...

is this stuff case sensitive? say my folder is "Install" and the CMD and SIF read "install"

will that make a difference? <a thought i can come up with this morning>

my office was locked so i cant get to my pc... but let me know and ill post on results on monday.

dos is not case sensitive. Neither is winnt.sif, atleast wehn calling commands. not sure about the actual entries.
