no.

you're just doing something wrong elsewhere. Though I would recommend you do install SP1.....

why is that alanoll?

(not trying to mock u or anything, I'd like to know if its neccessary for slipstreaming...)

it's not neccesary...

but it just seemed to me like he was going to install a bare XP system without applying any updates.....that's not so wise....

Now....did I say slipstream? I could have sworn I said install. :)

ok, so then whats the problem?

the only thing i do is creating a Winnt.sif file and put it in: \XPCD\I386

this is my Winnt.sif file:

;SetupMgrTag
[Data]
   AutoPartition=1
   MsDosInitiated="0"
   UnattendedInstall="Yes"

[Unattended]
   UnattendMode=ProvideDefault
   OemSkipEula=Yes
   OemPreinstall=No
   TargetPath=\WINDOWS
   UnattendSwitch=yes
   WaitForReboot=No
   DriverSigningPolicy=Ignore
   KeyboardLayout=Dutch

[GuiUnattended]

   FullName="Daan"
   OrgName="www.start.start"
   ComputerName=xxxxxxx

[GuiRunOnce]
   Command0="control userpasswords2"

and still it askes me for a serial number and things like that.

ProductKey = ProductID (best to have both entries.) unless of course the key is invalid.

 UnattendMode=ProvideDefault

shouldnt that be UnattendMode=FullUnattended

regards

not if he just wants the information enterd, and still have control over the install.....

but if he doesn't want any screens then yes.....
