There's something wrong with this country. The fact that England lost at the football over shadowed the fact that England thrashed New Zealand in the Cricket 3-0.

The papers here seem to revel in defeat and not in winning.

Although I'm am neither a football nor a cricket fan I think the England cricket team at least deserve a mention along side England's football team on the front page.

All we got was David Beckham with his hands over his face and the cricket team relegated to about 5 pages from the back of the paper.

It's time England basked in the little bit of glory we do get, not dwell on the misery of what was an unfortunate ending to what should have been Englands game.

IMHO.

invented? hmm hmm

@astra 12 well I've to say that this euro cup as u may now happens once in 4 years of time. and its between the countries and since there are many more ppl who watch soccer/football its pretty okay for soccer to be on the frontpage

and sorry but there are many other sports going on always, all the time. and since euro2004 is the latest news I think its okay to have it on frontpage..

also Michael schumacher got his 7 wins in a row, do u see that in any German news paper as headline news?

I mean that's what sells and at this time of the year everyone is watching the euro2004, just like there was a time when everyone was watching the superbowl or whatever..

Everything is on the newspaper I'm sure your cricket was on the newspaper as well but again its what sells these days

also say britney spears married some guy. Headline news? hmm same sort of thing...

also singing pop is popular, u'll see lots of ppl who sing pop..
