XP(H) Networking ICS to Y2K(C)

I'm trying to establish an ICS from my xp machine as an host to an Y2K machine

my internet conection is an adsl-usb

and i use network build from switch and 2 network adapter

installing he following

tcp/ip

file @ print sharing

client for ms network

qos packet schrdular

the network working fine i can share file and ping from one to the other

and i can surf the internet from the xp

but the Y2K can't get conect to the internet

I follow the network setup wizard step's

the XP ip config to 192.168.17.76

the Y2K ip config to 192.168.17.77

no defoult gatway

i use norton firewall and allowed the network addres 192.168.17.0

subnet mask 255.255.255.0 for all

if someone can help

you should use DHCP op the W2k machine

(workgroup names should be the same)

Wouldnt an easier way to do this be to use a hardware router?
