wonsleinad Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 I originally posted this in Tips and Tweaks, but it got no response; I'm hoping I'll get a reply here. Mods you can delete the post in Tips and Tweaks. With XP SP2, the Desktop background list (Control Panel | Display | Desktop), includes all the images in My Pictures. That is a lot of images for me. Is there anyway to disable searching in My Pictures, or specifying the folders it looks in?
leedolman Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 I also get this problem (on some installs) - but I used to get it on sp1 too
[BM]Crusher Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 you could just move your pictures to another location i moved My Pictures to C:\Stuff\Pics i then renamed My Pictures to Applications, made it visible as a popout-menu in the start menu, changed the icon, and put all my program shortcuts in the folder i did the same for My Music - i renamed it to Games, changed the icon, made it a popout-menu in start menu and put all my game shortcuts in there
wonsleinad Posted June 4, 2004 Author Posted June 4, 2004 If I did that, would it be possible to add the "fake" my pictures folder to the new xp start menu, where "My Pictures" now resides?
