With XP SP2, the Desktop background list (Control Panel | Display | Desktop), includes all the images in My Pictures. That is a lot of images for me. Is there anyway to disable searching in My Pictures, or specifying the folders it looks in?

you could just move your pictures to another location :)

i moved My Pictures to C:\Stuff\Pics

i then renamed My Pictures to Applications, made it visible as a popout-menu in the start menu, changed the icon, and put all my program shortcuts in the folder :D

i did the same for My Music - i renamed it to Games, changed the icon, made it a popout-menu in start menu and put all my game shortcuts in there :D

If I did that, would it be possible to add the "fake" my pictures folder to the new xp start menu, where "My Pictures" now resides?
