gosh Posted May 26, 2004 Share Posted May 26, 2004 You might be able to do that just by changing the registry permissions on the powercfg key in the registry. There's also powercfg.exe from the server 2003 reskit that might allow you to do this. Look into security templates that might lower permissions enough to allow users to change their power options. Screensaver timeout is a registry key in HKCU\Desktop i believe. You could play with the permissions of that registry key.-gosh Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
MadGutts Posted June 16, 2004 Share Posted June 16, 2004 You could set all the users as local admins...But you will need to set them up on each pc - Go into "Local Users and computers", select "Groups", double click "Administrators", then "Add...", in the "Look In" box select your domain, then find in the bottom box "Domain Users" and "OK".When the local user logs on, they will then have access to the control panel functions.Hope this helps...
