yronnen Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Hi.I'm getting close to my ultimate unattended WinXP DVD (mainly because I can't stuff anymore installations there...) thanks to this board.I've implemented some of the registry tweaks I've found here but I have two problems that I can't solve:1. The login screen is now black instead of blue.2. The start menu is classic and not WinXP start menu.I've tried to change almost every tweak, but could not find the solutin to these two.Any ideas?Thanx
Bâshrat the Sneaky Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 How did you get your login screen black????????????
neophyte Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 Your login screen is black instead of blue because you either have a registry 'tweak' which turns its colour to black, or because you have disabled fast user switching, as well as the welcome screen. I would suggest you run those two tweaks in the GUIRUNONCE section. As for the second, I'm not particularly sure.
[BM]Crusher Posted May 23, 2004 Posted May 23, 2004 if you have used nLite like I have to reduce the size of the source, you might have taken the themes and login screens out like i did (because i apply my own theme during setup and dont use login screen)if it is a registry tweak.... start from scratch, add the tweaks one at a time, try to make your own visual settings tweaks yourself using regshot or regsnap etc.... if it's a registry thing it should be pretty easy to find though... have you searched the registry file of yours for "classic", "view", "login" etc?
