baza23
Anyone know the silent switches for McAfee VirusScan Enterprise Version 7.1.0. I need it to select Perpetual from the License screen though.
mdn_united
1st: You will find good informations on the NAI website!2nd: You will find a "setup.exe" in the directory. Now run: setup.exe INSTALLDIR="C:\Program Files\Network Associates\VirusScan" ADDLOCAL=ALL RUNONDEMANDSCAN="" REBOOT=r /qbThis will install all features silent, start the run-on-demand-scan and will not reboot.I hope this will help. If not try this guide: http://www.networkassociates.com/common/me...port/vse7ig.pdf

Joe User 99
I don't see any difference between them. Once it is installed,if I go to About VirusScan Enterprise in the systray, it just says licensed.Tried it on the 1 year license and tried it on perpetual. But a little helpful advice for all using VirusScan Enterprise.Create your install with the McAfee Installation Designer 7.10It allows custom settings, such asOnDemand task schedulingAutoUpdate task schedulingpatch installationregistry settings changesupdated dats and engines, silent installetcthen it recompiles it into a new MSI file. Joe User 99
It should have been included with the license for VirusScan Enterprise 7.10.If you know your grant number, go to the McAfee web site and you can download it there.https://secure.nai.com/us/forms/downloads/upgrades/login.asp

cyberdiamond
The installation designer is the best tool for the job.I only wish more software company's would have programs like this for custom set-ups.This and transform files are the most flexible installs I have done

mazin
These are all the switches in the clown's pocket, so far:http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...ndpost&p=122977One of them might work.BTW, do you use the exe or the msi? If you haven't used the msi, then extract it from the exe first, and use it.
