FthrJACK Posted June 25, 2002 Share Posted June 25, 2002 you can use the winxp recovery console to build a new boot.ini wthout installing the operating systems again, it will scan your drives and rebuild the file, DONT rebuild or mess with the Master boot record though, just rebuild boot.ini it might save you formatting twice in a row.
