slettebo Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 I have made a complete unattended installation of WinXP Pro, and placed all my software on a network drive. Everything is working great by i have one little problem. When i access a *.exe file on an network drive I get a dialogbox with thise text: (Se file)My question are: Is it possible to add a registry tweak to disable this file control?
tubros Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 Are you using RIS or is it just a regular network share? I recommend using RIS if it is possible.
/\/\o\/\/ Posted May 18, 2004 Posted May 18, 2004 looks like the explorer thinks this server is not on the LAN(mostly becouse you connect the mapped drive with a FQDN name)try connecting by UNC-pathyou can also add this server to the "trusted sites" (and disable the warning)gr /\/\o\/\/
slettebo Posted May 19, 2004 Author Posted May 19, 2004 OK, thanks. The problem is that the url to the file is out of local lan, and I am going to try to trust the site....
