Hi,

How would you prevent drag and drop in windows explorer. I found a place to do that for the Internet and Intranet but not for the machine itself.

These users have full access to the folders but sometimes they move stuff by accident and we want to prevent that.

The server is 2000 server and the users use Windows 2000 and XP

Nope sorry, but i would like to add a Question to this

for since Win2003 the MMC also supports Drag&Drop

does someone know how to prevent Drag&Drop in the Windows2003 MMC

(users & computers), this also helps mistakes being made.

b.t.w. in Startmenu & task scheduler i know how to disable Drag&Drop

1) I can't find a My Computer Zone (Setting it in Local Intranet seems not working)

2) (I could not test yet) how CAN a user Copy files with this setting

I had seen that on JSI and cannot find the My computer icon either in the security settings
