Andries
Hello guys,I have create a unattended file who is working correctly. But now I have the followed problem. I live in the Netherlands (you can see it on my language) If I installed Windows XP with an unattended file Windows use the English language with the English keyboard language. And I would use the Dutch language with the English keyboard language. (VS)How can I install that with use from the unattend file?Greetings,Andries.
[BM]Crusher
Download the REF.CHM file which will explain the settings for winnt.sif (unattend.txt) to change to make your language and keyboard settings what you need
[BM]Crusher
I'd suggest changing[GuiUnattended]TimeZoneplus, everything under[RegionalSettings]

enuffsaid
Try the regedit method above. Works like a charm, and you get to set ALL regional settings!
Andries
I have try the register method but I does'nt work! The following have I do.* Go to Control Panel* change the Keyboard settings to language dutch en keyboardsettings to English (VS)* Delete the other keyboard settings* reboot windows* open REGEDIT and export the settings from: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\InternationalIf I have installed the unattended windows XP installation and I click double on the *.reg file he give the message: importing regfile successfully. TonyVE
I have had the same issues with trying to create an unattended installation of WindowsXP with the default Regional Settings changed to something other then United States, for my image this needs to be set to Australia. The following is how I resolved the issue:1. Ensure that these bits are in the unattend.txt answer file:[unattended] UnattendMode=FullUnattended OemSkipEula=Yes OemPreinstall=Yes[GuiUnattended] OEMSkipRegional=1[RegionalSettings] LanguageGroup=x Language=00000c092. Add the /rx:lang command switch to the Winnt.exe command, this will copy the Language folder during the install of Windows XP and your language files will be installed.A point to take into account is that the [RegionalSettings] strings will also need to be entered into your Sysprep.inf file if you plan to run a Sysprep on the machine as otherwise all regional settings will be returned to Microsofts original of United States. [BM]Crusher
Add the /rx:lang commandI don't do this and mine sets itself as Australia quite fine (with English (Australia) language)
TonyVE
That was one of the most frustrating things about this problem, in a previous image I had built in the same fashion it all worked, this time it wouldn't work no matter what changes I made. As far as differences go, the I386 source files are for SP1a where as when it worked previously, it was just straight XP without a SP, what version are you running? maybe if I get time I'll rip a quick image of straight XP and see if that changes the need for /RX:Lang.Tony
Andries
I have try it again. And the followed error have I found. In the Winnt.sif file there is a rule: OemPreinstall=YesIf I change that command in "no" windows installed the correct keyboard settings.Perhaps a bug?But thank you for your sollution. It works by my unattended file!Greetings,Andries.
