rfdigital
In XP Professional, I'm experiencing some very annoying behavior with my mouse (it's a laptop, and it happens when using a separate mouse and when using the touch-pad).The mouse pointer often decides to automatically grab files or folders (or any "object" on the desktop or in any window) and it's caused things such as cutting a folder and moving it into another folder, etc. I find this to be a terrible feature (if it is a feature) and I really want to turn it off.If somebody knows how to disable this, please let me know.thanks. Flash
You need to diable the touch pad. Should be in Control Panel with the mouse settings and then just disable it (if you have a Sony laptop it will be in your task tray). If your external mouse cam e with software it should have already done this... This should fix the problem though...

andy35137
Somewhere is an option for authorizing the mouse to 'turn on', 'favor', 'activate' whatever it is pointing at or resting in. You don't even have to click. This may be part of your problem.
