Ximonite Posted March 9 Posted March 9 This might be a long shot, but I wonder if anyone still has the hotfix files linked at https://twilczynski.com/windows/updates/ I'm specifically looking for the symbols, which are usually packed inside the self-extractor programs. I noticed @tomasz86 linked to these directly (named ######_LOCALE_i386_zip.exe), instead of just the SFXCAB update files (named Windows2000-KB######-x86-LOCALE) used by security updates. If anyone happens to have these files around, please let me know! I downloaded what's available from archive.org already and would like to expand this collection with whichever of these files have survived this long.
tomasz86 Posted March 9 Posted March 9 If they're not available on the Wayback Machine, I believe all of them should still be at https://twilczynski.com/windows/archive . The Wayback Machine is safer, because you're essentially downloading files that were archived directly from Microsoft, while if you use the Archive, you have to trust myself (instead of the whole Internet Archive team). I'd still suggest to make sure that hashes match the original files from Microsoft (as long as the hashes can still be found somewhere…). In retrospect, I should've added the hashes to each update information on my site when they were still available, but it's too late now.

I had no idea you would see this so quickly XD I see the updates themselves hosted on MEGA, but I'm specifically wondering if you have the symbols corresponding to them around. Here's an example of what I mean:
tomasz86 Posted March 10 Posted March 10 (edited) I'm still around, just not very active . I do get email notifications when mentioned on the forum. Unfortunately, if the Wayback Machine hasn't got them in their storage, those symbol files may likely be gone forever. Unless there is some other archive service that has saved them… Edited March 10 by tomasz86

Try asking hunterkll in the Win2000_Dev_Community Discord server ,he had a lot of stuff of MSDN that isn't on the net now. Edited March 10 by windows2
