alexthetechie1 Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 Hello i currently have a pretty modern pc i'd like to attempt to get windows 7 on i have booted into the installer just to see if it boots and it does (CSM boot only) Just wanting to verify i can get things working before i install Motherboard: ASRock B760M-C/D4 Ram: 32GB DDR4 2133MHz (4x 8GB DDR4) CPU: 13th Gen i5-13400F 2.5Ghz 10 cores 16 threads GPU: RTX 4060 8GB Storage: 2x 1TB M.2 / NVme SSD's and 1x 2TB SATA SSD Ethernet: Intel(R) Ethernet Connection I219-V Wi-Fi: Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3168 BT: Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) Audio: High Definition Audio Device
halohalo Posted August 20, 2024 Posted August 20, 2024 If you successfully installed Windows 7 on the motherboard. You have to face the fact that no device drivers available for Windows 7. RTX 4060 only has DCH driver which requires Windows 10 x64 1803 or later. I219-V has 27 variations, but Windows 7 driver only supports 7 variations. Only Realtek HDA has no problem.

Only Realtek HDA has no problem. could i replace the RTX 4060 8GB with a GTX 960 4GB i have laying around? and could you possibly link a driver for my ethernet if i have the lucky variant?
