Windows 8 or 8.1's ACPI.sys on Windows 7?

Hello MSFN,

I've attempted using Windows Vista/7 installations with a widely-available tweak to get the mentioned systems installed on unsupported hardware. However, the problem is this approach is still not fool-proof and does not work with a wide variety of hardware running low-end intel atoms or celerons.

Has anybody tried using Windows 8/8.1's ACPI on Windows 7? If not, would a backport of the said driver be possible? Such has been accomplished with USB 3.0 and various drivers for even Windows XP.

You need to specify the generation of your intel atoms or celerons. People say it may not possible with certain very modern hardware.
