FantasyAcquiesce Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Hello MSFN, I've attempted using Windows Vista/7 installations with a widely-available tweak to get the mentioned systems installed on unsupported hardware. However, the problem is this approach is still not fool-proof and does not work with a wide variety of hardware running low-end intel atoms or celerons. Has anybody tried using Windows 8/8.1's ACPI on Windows 7? If not, would a backport of the said driver be possible? Such has been accomplished with USB 3.0 and various drivers for even Windows XP. Thank you for your time.
Cocodile Posted October 27, 2023 Posted October 27, 2023 Hello FantasyAcquiesce, You need to specify the generation of your intel atoms or celerons. People say it may not possible with certain very modern hardware. https://www.reddit.com/r/windows7/comments/15db1hm/help_installing_windows_7_on_modern_hardware/ 3
