Its because the URL that is being called by the Gadget is dysfunctional since a few days:

http://weather.service.msn.com/data.aspx?src=vista&wealocations=FR:DE_Berlin&weadegreetype=C&culture=de-DE

The same applies to the Origami Experience 2.0 Weather Gadget, similar Domain:

http://weather.partners.msn.com/data.aspx?outputview=forecast&wealocations=wc:AUXX0025&src=UMPC&weadegreetype=C&culture=de-AT

Unfortunately, one can only hope that MSN will fix it. Due to Microsoft's restriction to reroute Microsoft-owned Domains via HOSTS file, it will be hard (without involving a HTTP proxy) to redirect the Gadgets to a different Server which is able to return a XML payload which can be read by the Gadget. At least for the hardcoded Origami Now Gadget. The Sidebar one can be edited in HTML/JS.

I meanwhile switched to a 3rd party Gadget that is still maintained: https://00ff00.de/?page_id=658

I always just used the MSN Weather gadget instead. Same interface and elements but it still works after all this time with no extra tweaks needed.

Seems like server works normally. At this point, I think we need to decompile "Program Files (x86)\Windows Sidebar\wlsrvc.dll" to figure out what makes it not working. Not sure it'll even be possible tho.

I found old xml file still stored in temporary internet file folder. Comparing with current server response, they seems like change its header and current weather gadget can't detect it.

Comparing from old one and new one, it starts with xml tag instead of weatherdata tag. If we are possible to remove that single tag, Seems like we can make it to work again.

I have another weather gadget and I fixed it myself, first I wrote to the developer of the gadget, but he said that he doesn’t work with it anymore, I had to do it myself, and without knowledge, so, using a random method, I brought it back to reality and has been working for many years ))

Server manager applied exact this one as fix. If they read from this, I'd like suggest one more thing. Can you make weatherfullname variable from find.aspx starting with number? Direct searching from weather gadget was broken as we know, I just found searching with zip code was still working somehow.  I tried with redirecting with hosts and tried that, not worked anyway.

adding zipcode="" in front of variable weatherfullname actually made direct search works.
