Depending what i think the net framework which you download it from the blog is the basic version , but the rollup of 2014 is the full update this why is large in size than the blog one .

You probably downloaded the Japanese version, which is indeed small in size (6M). Download the English version (labeled "69.4M")

ok even with .net 4 installed the ngen error pops up..

i'm going to look at Sylpheed-3.7_setup.exe client more closely now.

install extended kernel "2ndtime", not reboot ,install .net 4 roll out.

or

install extended kernel, reboot, install .net 4 roll out.

for the roll out order.

or is it ok to just install v2?

1 .net 2v2 update

2 net 4v2 update

2 .net4 roll out 1 then roll out 2

3 kernel

4 reboot

5 kernel

6 email client.

If you have install latest extended kernel , you don't need to install it again if you don't want to change options . 

The link of net framework 4.0 in the blog should installed in first , then install the others update of net framework as rollup of it including 2014 update.  .

To verify if net framework installed with success you should to find it in add/remove programs " client profile" and "extended" 

I hope you are succeed in installing the net framework 2.0 SP2 also.
