I recently finished a project for an intelligent access control system, because I use ESP32 so I want to make an IoT, my friend recommended me to use wordpress, does anyone have a tutorial for newbies please?

Wordpress is typical modern/heavy web, and makes use of external libraries. For IoT appliances, I recommend that the application is as self-contained as possible and to not rely on those external libraries. Since you have no control when they update or become compromised, or if the site goes down for whatever reason. Also, running on wordpress means that your device has to go to their website in order to operate, and then of course anyone can go there without your device.

So if I want to create a simple web page for this project myself, what software should I use?

Well, what programs have you used to make webpages before? I personally use Scite, but it is more of a general purpose IDE. The last actual webpage authoring program I've used was Dreamweaver MX 2004.
