ZeroExistenZ Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 Hi,After finding this webpage I started making my Unattended install, I burned it after thinking it would do well enough to burn a first try.Everything worked fine until I got prompted with a "Could not find Kernel32.dll" while copying the files. I just clicked it away, wanting to see wherever it would continue (knowing it would need that Kernel32.dll, but I wanted to see my "Install", "Drivers", etc would copy over.) in case I screwed up there. After the first reboot (where you're booted into a GUI), I got prompted with a "Could not find Kernel32.dll" again, which eventually resulted in a prompt showing me the logfile. But KERNEL32.DL_ is present in my I386 folder... I'm not sure what I did wrong? (I slipstreamed, which *shouldn't* cause that prob..)Any Ideas?
Alanoll Posted April 21, 2004 Posted April 21, 2004 check to make sure that kernel32.dll is listed in both TXTSETUP.SIF and DOSNET.INF
ZeroExistenZ Posted April 22, 2004 Author Posted April 22, 2004 In DOSNET.INF it's listed under [Files] and under [ForceCopyDriverCabFiles].In TXTSETUP.SIF it's listed under [sourceDisksFiles] and [FileFlags].
Blyster Posted April 22, 2004 Posted April 22, 2004 Could be a scratch on the media or a corrupted file (since the file is there, it's just not being recognized). Try burning the disk again and see if that helps. Good luck.
ZeroExistenZ Posted April 22, 2004 Author Posted April 22, 2004 Ok will try another burn after some more work on "perfecting" my costumizations, I really hope it's just a scratch..Thanks for the replies
