Enabling Hyper-V gave me a sightly different Machine ID

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I having some issues with the donations keys after enabling Hyper-V (Windows Server 2016), because my machine ID has changed. The problem here isn't the machine id change as is but the necessary manual swapping of the donation.key in order to evade that little annoying messages if I choose to boot without the hyper-v hypervisor.

I think this needs to be addressed excluding the Hyper-V factor at machine ID generation. But allowing glass8 to find inside 2 or more donation.key files seems OK for me. Do you think this is possible?

Goodbye! And sorry for my bad english!
