WinFX Posted October 21, 2018 Posted October 21, 2018 I used to have Windows Server 2016 and Visual Studio 2002 and Visual Studio 2003 perfectly and solve all the problems to be able to install it. But when installing Visual Studio 2003 there were many errors, so cancel the installation. Then, try VS2002, I have the .NET FX 1.0 but the prerequisite installer tells me that it is not installed. Have any of you tried to successfully install these versions of Visual Studio in Windows Server 2019 or Windows 10 April 2018 update?
WinFX Posted October 21, 2018 Author Posted October 21, 2018 Please do not come with "Upgrade to Visual Studio 2017" or "Return to Windows Server 2016"

Per Microsoft Answers, Quote Refer to your description, I suppose the VS 2003 is incompatible with the Windows 10 1703 build. Since the VS 2003 is very old and we are not support it for a long time, please check its product life cycle. Usually, we recommend customers to use the latest VS 2017 RTM version, it works best with the Windows 10 and have lots of improvements and new features. Visual Studio 2003 is only compatible with: Windows 2000 Windows NT Windows Server 2003 Windows XP And support ended back in 2013. I would definitely upgrade to Visual Studio Community at the very least and be sure to keep your OS fully up-to-date.
