You gave up on AMD after seeing the settings application crash?

General instability of the ATI software isn't something I'm willing to ignore, and anyway I had an opportunity to change to a much more powerful GPU, which has turned out to be perfectly stable.

Ultimately, the version of Aero Glass I am running has been very solid, so I have not tried the new build.
