cisz Posted June 8, 2017 Posted June 8, 2017 I've read that it's possible to use automatic save in word 97 but haven't found any information on how to enable it. Help appreciated.

Otherwise (besides the 3rd party tools surely to be put into this thread later by spammers) the way it can be done is apparently with the use of a macro, like this: https://word.tips.net/T000157_A_Real_AutoSave.html
cisz Posted June 11, 2017 Author Posted June 11, 2017 (edited) Thanks. Some of the reasons I want to keep using word 97: it has a smaller minimizing window than 2003 (which I also have). I like the way it does searches for text better than 2003 It has a better way of bringing up templates from File>New> Edited June 11, 2017 by cisz
cisz Posted June 22, 2017 Author Posted June 22, 2017 Problem with the autosave macro is that you would have to create the macro for every document rather than having each document saved automatically in a temp file.
