Hi Folks:

I was searching to see if there was a 4.9 release of Windows Defender for 8x and 10.  I received some "credible-looking" results from the PC Mag site. But there was no direct link for a client download on Microsoft's site. For those running Windows Defender on Windows 8.1, what is the latest revision you're running now?

Hi,

Now I'm running Windows Defender 4.8.207.0 on my Windows 8.1 systems. I think this is the latest version for Windows 8.x (but since I have disabled Windows Update more than a year ago I may be wrong). I also think that the 4.9 and 4.10 are Windows 10 only (I have only see them in Windows 10) and for Security Essentials.
